I think that this would be appropriate as there is a lot of use of props.
I would like to focus on Leonardo DiCaprio's performance
Class Performance - First Half Term Summary:
ReplyDeleteChloe, you have an aspirational grade of A/B, and your work is mostly at that standard. But, much of what you submit is not done to deadline or is incomplete. When it is done, it is done well. In class, you are focused and engaged.
Your (late) 'In Bruges' analysis is a good analysis of use of mise-en-scene and performance. You write thoughtfully about the topic, and make relevant points backed up with evidence from the film. Grade B. To improve, you could have had a greater emphasis on Bruges as a place, and how the characters feel about it, and how it impacts their actions.
Your camera analysis used terminology well ,and covered key aspects of the sequences.
Your presentation on 'Django' as a potential extract for your written analysis coursework was good, and the post-screening discussion generated some useful ideas and gave you some focus to your analysis. You also posted some pre-presentation notes.
You have missed a blog post, which was a proposal for your 'Creative Project'. Please make sure this is posted at the latest by the end of this week.
TARGET: Keep up to date with homework. Start to use the 'stretch and challenge' page on the Film Studies blog to push yourself to achieve a high grade.
